British Melodic Hard Rock band BURN will be be featuring in a special edition of Chris Nelson’s Hairspray Heaven Show on www.rock247online.co.uk on Saturday May 10 (1700hrs BST). Original band members, Jeff Ogden and Barney Stackhouse, will be appearing live in the studio and will be picking the tracklisting for the show, which will include a number of classic rock tracks that have influenced the band over the years. Chris will also be featuring tracks from BURN’s comeback album, ‘Global Warning’, which has gained tremendous reviews from around the world and is now available globally on Formula One Records.
Chris chose the track ‘Pray For Rain’, from ‘Global Warning’, as his favourite song of 2007.
BURN are also making a rare live appearance in the UK at Nuneaton Queen’s Hall on Saturday 17th May.

R.E.M. -- which is singer Michael Stipe, guitarist Peter Buck, and bassist Mike Mills -- are counting down the time to the release of Accelerate, their 14th studio album, on a website, www.ninetynights.com. The site, which launched on January 1st, features a new high-definition video snippet each day that can be downloaded then edited, embedded, or manipulated however the user wishes. Each snippet is being posted in high-resolution HD format and available for download for a period of 24 hours before being archived on the site as a low-resolution stream. The clips were shot by noted French filmmaker Vincent Moon, who has worked with Arcade Fire, The Shins and The National among other artists.

Disturbed have just unveiled their video for “Inside the Fire,” the first single from the forthcoming, Indestructible, which hits stores June 3rd. The video was directed by Nathan “Karma” Cox who has also helmed videos for Bleeding Through and HIM among others.
Both the lyrics of “Inside the Fire” as well as the video’s storyline tell the real life tale of a suicide that personally affected Disturbed vocalist, David Draiman. Knowing the pain and sensitive nature of the subject Draiman precedes the video with a public service announcement for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. The video can be seen here.

DETROIT — Mellotrön, Detroit's Progressive Metal, will unleash its imminent sonic destruction for a good cause, when it brings the full brunt of its progmetal prowess to the Emerald Theatre (31 North Walnut Street Mt. Clemens, MI 48043 – (586) 913-1920) on May 29 at 8 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Sabrina Black Foundation. The evening of great entertainment kicks off at 9 p.m., with legendary progressive rockers & Inside Out Records recording artists Tiles opening the festivities, followed by Lansing's own Silent Lapse. Mellotrön will take the stage at 11 p.m. Tickets for the event are available from the bands and at the Emerald Theatre box office. This is an all-ages show.

The new album TWISTED DESIRE from PLEASURE MAKER, that will be released in June, will come with new musicians: Andy Starr gets the Bass Guitar, replacing the great Mark Santanna, and Sandro Rossi is now responsible for all the keyboards. The line-up is fulfilled with Alex Meister on the guitars, C. Marshall on the Lead Vocals and Adriano Morais on the drums (these last ones are from the original line-up).
The band's new release evolved to bring more mature and "in the face" songs, having great emphasis on the chorus.
