It's
been 20 years since the world was introduced to guitar genius
David T. Chastain. Since 1986, when he and a friend formed the
label Leviathan Records, Chastain has been putting out music every
year, be it for his bands like CJSS, Chastain or Southern Gentlemen,
or projects he produces like Kinrick and Vainglory. Leviathan
Records is known for being a "guitar label," and that's
why you'll also be able find guitar masters like Joe Stump on
his label.
Chastain
checked in with Hardrock Haven to talk about his new Southern
Gentlemen release Third Time is the Charm, his influences
as a guitarist, the reason why he tends to gravitate towards female
vocalists for his band Chastain, and his thoughts on Jessica Simpson.
Why the last one? You'll have to tune in to hear him say, "I
feel bad for poor ol' Nick."
