Jaime St. James (Warrant)
Interview April 2006

So you ask yourself, how the hell did Jaime end up the lead singer for Warrant. Well let me tell you my friends, it seems that it was meant to be.
First off we have been friends for a long time, and we have mutual respect for each other, seeing how we come from the same place musically, but as I found out soon enough, we are very compatible together as people.
We have a blast together and I think that shows on stage and off.
I was up in Portland Oregon working on a new Black 'n Blue CD for Europe, with Jef "woop" Warner and Patrick Young, but things were going a little slow. (Due to circumstances beyond our control) so it was a bit frustrating.
As fate would have it, Jerry Dixon was the one to call me and ask if I was interested in singing for Warrant since Jani had left the band.
I thought for about 30 seconds and said hell yeah, let's give it a try. After one rehearsal we all heard the magic. I am not Jani Lane, I am Jaime St. James, singing these songs true to the original recordings my way, and it works.
I love this band and the future is wide open.Which brings us to the new CD. Thanks to Erik Turner it is called "BORN AGAIN"…..which makes sense doesn't it!
This son of a bitch could be straight out of the 80s, and that's the way we like it. Quite simply, it rocks.
With songs like "Dirty Jack", "Roller Coaster", "Bourbon County Line", "Love Strikes Like Lightning" and our ballad "Glimmer" to name a few, we just can't wait to get it out there so you and the rest of the rock 'n roll world can give it a whirl.
The sky is the limit my friends, so stay tuned.
As for me, I would just like to say thanks to Jerry, Erik, Joey, Steven, and all you who read this…
Delvis Rules,
The Saint
