Listen to the interview . . . WMA
Basement Floor singer/multi-instrumentalist/songwriter Tim Miskimon checked in with Hardrock Haven to talk about their new re-released CD Greatest Hits Volume One and the joke behind the title; how the band's fight to own their own music ended their record deal with Atlantic; the possibility of a new Basement Floor tour; the chances of them pursuing royalties based on Chili's ribs commercial "I want my baby-back, baby-back, baby-back" sounds awful close to their song "I'm a Free Man;" and a whole lot more.
Basement Floor was one of those early classic '80s rock bands that tied together influences from Wings, Gene Pitney and a bevy of other artists who laid the foundation of rock 'n' roll. Basement Floor would have been opening for a huge tour with Journey, had Atlantic not shelved their release--yes, they were that good. Tune in now to get to know Basement Floor, and pick up their new CD from their Web site for only five bucks!
