The new Broken Teeth CD "Blood On The Radio” was recorded
live in 2004 in Austin, Texas and features 15 tracks spanning both
studio albums "Broken Teeth" & "Guilty Pleasure.”
“Blood” also features a new track called “Bonfire.”
This
AC/DC-during-the-“Highway to Hell”-era inspired band
rocks from the first track to the last. On lead vocals is former
Dangerous Toys frontman Jason McMaster, and he manages, at times,
to do AC/DC better than Brian Johnson. He does this by obviously
having a great time and never taking himself too seriously.
This
live album is a 15-track fun ride perfect for a backyard cookout,
where only Budweiser is served, or else! These wild Texans manage
to play solid rhythm and lead guitar as well, with clean southern-fried
solos jumping from tracks such as “Chaingang,” and “High
on Danger.” The best track is “Stick it in,” which
is introduced by the wild and crazy McMaster and his band’s
“Church Hymn.” The drum work also is solid as these
toe-tapping tracks could encourage a corpse to get up and dance.
This is a band that gives a great, hard-charging live show while
delivering clean ‘80s style hard rock; what’s there
not to like, besides the name?
