Wow what a blast this is folks! From Poland, I received this remarkable
debut CD. To be quite honest; I didn’t expect anything this
good to come from a former Eastern European country. How wrong can
one be?!
The
music offered by Ctrl-Alt-Del (short: CAD) is hard to describe.
It contains influences from bands like Tool, A Perfect Circle and
related bands. One act that covers the diversity best is probably
Last Crack. The album has moments that you sit back and simply want
to absorb all the beauty offered. Then all of a sudden, it bursts
into a metallic wall of sound, but never distorted to much. It’s
all crisp and crystal clear. Songs grab you instantly and will be
humming in your head for many weeks to follow. Even the remix versions
on the disc are well worth listening to for us rockers. Any critical
notes? Yes, there is one. The order of the track list might be adjusted
for a more diverse listening session. If you have the disc, you
will know what I mean, but this is just a liner note from my side.
The
production is like the music; explosive, yet crystal clear. There
is a lot of depth in the music, which only creates more dynamic.
The booklet and packaging is outrageous! This is the best independent
release I have seen in years. This one waits to be picked up by
a major. The opening track, “Stepping Stone” and “Manchild”
can be downloaded for free at their website. Make sure to check
those out and buy your copy of this superb debut. www.ctrl-alt-del.pl
