Neal Schon returns with his sixth solo CD release, i on u.
Neal Schon, who is best known for his work with Journey, also has
performed and recorded with Santana, Jan Hammer, and he recently
released a CD with Soul Sirkus, which features the vocal talent
of Jeff Scott Soto, bass guitar work of Marc Mendozza and Australian
sensation, drummer Virgil Donati.

on u is a 12-track collection of guitar instrumental music
that explores modern sounds and flavors and still maintains Neal
Schon’s signature guitar style. On i on u, Neal Schon
teams up with keyboardist Igor Len. Together, they penned the songs
that you hear on the CD. Omar Hakim also joins Schon and Len and
handles duties as the drummer.
“Atmosphere”
best describes the music on i on u. The music is never harsh or
demanding. It comes across smooth and effortlessly. The instrumentation
is mixed with a fine balance that never lets just one element control
or dominant the audio landscape that is built by all the instruments
as a whole.
