This is a little three-song sampler taken from the forthcoming full-length
CD, which will feature Kevin Goocher of Omen. The first track, "Storms
Of Hell," starts off the disc with some fast-paced bar chord
rhythms blended with some cut-to-the-chase lead guitars. But the
vocals really didn't cut it to me. The anticipation of excitement
turned to disappointment. There simply was no excitement conveyed,
and nothing really stood out.
"Enchanted,"
the second track starts off with some really nice melodic guitars,
complimented by soothing, crisp, and clear vocals while gradually
progressing to mountainous peaks of pleasure to the ear. The song
holds you there and brings you back down to earth to rest as you
wait for the next one to arrive. The final track, "Metal Warrior,"
comes in with the usual anthemia. It’s been done 1000 times;
I’ve heard it all before. The musicians are all quite skilled,
but for the most part, this just seemed uninventive to me. I can
only hope they're saving the good stuff for when this thing comes
out in its full-length form. Based on that, I guess it's one for
three here.
