CD Title:The Sweet According to Sweden

Label: Rivel Records

Release Date: Out Now

Comments: Rivel Records presents Sweden’s tribute to the legendary rock band The Sweet. The CD is pure energized rock n’ roll, filled with melodic, hook filled, guitar driven tracks and vocal harmonies that most bands never come close to achieving! If these bands represent The Sweet at even a fraction of what is recorded on this CD then The Sweet must be one of the best bands that I never really listened to.

Onboard for the tribute CD are Rivel Records very own Christian Rivel, Jeff Scott Soto, former Kiss guitarists Bruce Kullick, Tommy Denander and members & ex. members of Thunder, Hughes/Turner Project, Europe, Yngwie Malmsteen Band, At Vance, Candlemass, Talisman Lion’s Share and Narnia.

The opening track “Love is Like Oxygen” features the stunning vocal duet between Christian Rivel and Jeff Scott Soto while Christian’s band Audiovision cranks out the music. Tommy Denander’s version of “Action” rocks! Brighteye Brison rendition of “Mother Earth” is smoking. Overall the CD maintains a brilliant continuity between the various bands involved. All singers involved sound excellent as well as the top notch performances of each band.

Liner Notes written by Steve Priest, the legendary bassplayer of The Sweet.
