Hatesphere
The Sickness Within SPV

by Matty Hoffman
Staff Writer

Comments: If you love speed/death/thrash/hardcore styled metal and you don't know Hatesphere, you better wake the fuck up! These five sick pups from Denmark have captured the very (American) essence of these genres and weaved them together with the utmost precision. They get after the pounding thrash rhythms with sick heavy riffs like Exodus, tear up solos in a unique pseudo-Slayer style and never ever take a step backwards!

Lead singer Jacob Bredahl tears each track a new asshole while exhibiting the subtle switches between screamcore and pure metal. The drums kick ass as well throughout with Anders Gyldenohr handling the duties. The axe plays of Jacobson and Hansen work wonderfully together with killer leads torn overtop the sweet smoky rhythms. Track after track they bring the goods, making you want to run out the house jump out of the car or simply bang heads with everyone in your life from your Priest to your mother-in-law. Holy Shit this is the hardest heaviest album of the year by far, and the rhythms put it on a short list of the years best!

Only way to develop the passion to create the skills heard here is to have the passion to listen to Exodus, Slayer, Overkill ,Metal Church, Megadeth, Sepultura, Death, Testament and old Metallica albums for endless hours while rolling and consuming the biggest fattest joints known to mankind. Ones that would make Snoop Dogg himself blush. For you younger metal fans, they sound like Nevermore mixed with Hatebreed with a twinge of fuck everybody and everything thrown in!

What you have here boys and girls is damn close to pure metal perfection. So get your dumb asses online and buy a copy for every headbanger on the block.
