Comments: 90 Proof Lullabies is an eclectic mix of uplifting, blues-funk-rock songs. You need only to listen to the album once to figure out that this band is widely influenced and full of musical talent.

"It's Alright" is a bluesy rocker that reminds you of a cross between the Black Crowes and another Atlanta band from years' past, Floyd's Funk Revival. The next track, "Waiting for Princess", is written in a blues rock and country style.

"Chipping Away" follows and it's a bouncy track that resembles an old Irish drinking song. If you've ever been to a real Irish bar with a legit Irish band, you know how infectious this track is. If not, go straight to track 5, get a liter of Lager and don't plan on getting behind the wheel anytime thereafter.

Connor Christian & Southern Gothic then kick into a full blown country pop song in "Evangeline", which is a brilliantly written anti-love song. With lyrics like "Evangeline, you couldn't pay me enough to take you back" and "Evangeline, I just can't wait to get rid of you", it's a fun song to sing along with. Try it! You'll find it's a great stress reliever.

"Winter" is another great track. It starts off sounding a little bit like Michael Buble's "I Wanna Go Home". However, it picks up the pace as it launches into a bouncy beat about 40 seconds in. With lyrics like "the Spring is beginnin' and the best part are the women" and "don't you ever wonder if the best part about Winter is when it's gone", it's a nice ironic song that actually begrudges Winter and celebrates the warm weather.

Connor Christian & Southern Gothic is a tight band with a lotta soul. They're one of those bands that would undoubtedly be fantastic group to see live. With the release of 90 Proof Lullabies, the band is sure to have a bright future.
